Call for Letters of Intent: IAU 2027 Scientific Meetings

The International Astronomical Union (IAU) has opened the call for Letters of Intent (LoI) to organize Symposia and Focus Meetings to be held in 2027. LoIs can be submitted using the on-line form available here.

Deadlines:

• 15 September 2025 – LoI submission deadline

• 16 September – 1 December 2025 – full proposal submission period

The IAU General Assembly will take place on 10–19 August 2027 in Rome, Italy. Up to 9 Symposia and 12 Focus Meetings are expected to be organized during the GA, with the possibility of additional Symposia outside the GA.
