The next edition of the Communicating Astronomy with the Public (CAP) Conference will take place on 25–29 May 2026 in Yerevan, Armenia, with both in-person and online participation.

Hosted by the Byurakan Astrophysical Observatory and the Armenian Astronomical Society, in collaboration with the IAU Commission C2 – Communicating Astronomy with the Public and the IAU Office for Astronomy Outreach, CAP2026 will bring together professionals in science and astronomy communication, informal education, planetaria and science centres, journalists, and creative practitioners.

The conference theme, “Democratising Astronomy Communication in the era of accessible Artificial Intelligence”, will inspire discussions on AI and social media, interdisciplinary approaches, inclusive tools, outreach for underserved communities, journalism, and more.
